Restaurant
Our restaurant offer an home-cooking tied to Piedmont’s traditions.
For the preparation of our dishes we use typical local products with great care from "Basket of the Province of Turin’s" products, that changes during the seasons.
In our simplicity we are glad to be included in several turist-gastronomics guides; for fifteen years for example, you can find us in “Osterie d’Italia”, the famous Slow Food’s guide, that describe us like this:
“…the local, whose name evoke the historic path covered from Carlo Magno’s troops – it’s located in a stable of eighteen century, restored and enlarged with respect of the original construction.
A cozy and charming atmosphere, so, are adjectives that we can extend at the kitchen of Renzo Andolfatto, devoted to solid traditional recipe. Since a couple of years, then, entered in the kitchen his daughter Ambra, who added a feminine touch to the dishes with his passion for herbs and flowers.
Local salami with alpine toma cheese and sweet and sour pumpkin, veal with suna sauce, Russian salad, goat-cheese with nuts and honey sauce, “bagna caoda” fantasies, as appetizer. Among the first courses, in addition to agnolotti with roasted boar sauce, the “malfatti” ( potato dumplings with ricotta and spinach, baked with cream and blue-cheese) are light and delicate but are also interesting the lean candy with melted butter and chestnuts.
As main course, a great boar civet, the “carbonade” and the delicious “caponet”.
Traditional desserts (“panna cotta”, “bonet” and “tiramisu”), we suggest the count’s bread a delicious dessert made with the local “canestrelli”....”
